Colleen Stan: The Simple Gifts of Life

Dubbed by the Media "The Girl in the Box" and "The Sex Slave"

Copyright 2008 Jim B. Green

My name is Colleen Stan. At age 20, I was abducted by Cameron Hooker and his wife, and forced to sign myself into sexual slavery. For the next seven years, I was subjected to torture, locked in a box, and given a new name, Slave K. Everything was taken away from me except by faith in God. In time, I was allowed to care for my abductor's two children, visit my parents, and get a job, but I was still a bondage woman. When freedom finally came, I once again became Colleen Stan and changed myself from victim status to being a strong, independent woman. For the first time in great detail, this is the true story of my life. I will answer questions such as: Why didn't I try to escape? How was I able to keep faith in God? How can I be so normal after all I went through? I will touch upon the Story of O, Perfect Victim, brainwashing, Stockholm syndrome, Patty Hearst, Janice Hooker, sadism, BDSM, religion, survival, and recovery. My years of slavery and depredation did teach me a deep appreciation of God and the "Simple Gifts of Life".
